I went on an all night drinking binge shortly after posting this, only just surfaced. Feel like shit.
Anyway, Sky upload natively to youtube and FB. You get alot more hits on fb due to the autoplay. As long as they're happy im not fussed, but there needs to be a standard hit count system between sites that host video.

It details all my interests, that I have never had the time to work on. I find it utterly depressing.

I need to stop doing work at work.

It seems to be an acceptable tactic of the left now
It seems it's too difficult to deconstruct someone's ideas, make them look like a buffoon with facts and then present a superior argument in order to win people over.
What you have to do these days is stifle debate, censor, disrupt, spit, assault, throw eggs until everyone can see the message of tolerance you are spreading.

Except there is no debate.
Thanks to the multitude of news sources available, it is easy to only watch that which reinforces your world view and tends to confirm your prejudices. US politics has become so polarised that there are very few people with a balanced view and thus no middle of the road opinion.
There are actually many, many sensible Americans who support Trump and see Hilary Clinton as evil incarnate. Their simplistic view is that they have worked hard, saved, pay into healthcare schemes from their earnings and she wants to take the majority of their earnings off them and give it to lazy people who made no provision for their own care and illegal immigrants.
We (probably correctly) see Trump as a dangerous lunatic, but don't make the mistake of thinking all his supporters are, nor that he is unelectable...

Polarisation is on purpose, in reality both are middle of the road parties, only different flavour, for different target group.
Polarisation gives tribal spin and retains voters. Simples.

It's probably because people get more right wing as they get older.
Pensioners find it hard to work up the energy to go into town to spit at people entering the Labour party conference. That, and they'd forgotten what they'd gone into town for by the time they got there.

I went to college in San Jose
and have lived and worked in this area most of my life - this sort of violent protest is very unusual around here! Sure, in the 1960s and Nixon 70s things got a bit crazy, but it has been a very quiet zone - even during the Bush the 2nd years.
I think this is evidence of how much most young people just hate the idea of Trump being President - they know how awful it would be and they want to stop it right now. Yes, violence in theory is wrong, but this is just the tip of the spear - it will be a very strange summer in Merika!

politics is not the straight jacket it perhaps once was in the eighties. Me clinging on to the Guardian or the Independent seems completely irrelevant in regard to what they actually report these days, other freebies like the Telegraph or Daily mail report on with much more reliability. And plus there's the Independent's new determination to be the new Rob's foray into Daily Mirror fuckwardness with it's spastic section, and the Guardian's unassailble levels of bullshit and cringe worthy middle class crap. Anyway we read what we read

I'm currently finding some of it a mildly amusing counter balance to the
hard left reactionary shite I see on Facebook every day, considered acceptable in broadly liberal social circles.
Plus some of it is actually relevant. Part of the problem with that black power bollocks is that no one seems to be pulling them up for behaving like shouty retarded spastics, in universities, or elsewhere

Muting just removes them from your timeline
,you can still chat or go directly to their page.
You can also block from a source if they are posting thing from a specific site that annoys you. You'll still get the rest of their stuff.
By clicking anything you are telling Facebook's algorythm "I am interested in this type of thing. More of this please".

If you go through life just reading media exclusively supporting your own political bias you'll end up with a very narrow minded view of the world, and probably very unaware given how little of the news the Guardian and Independent actually report. Their news desks are tiny, and the other half of the publications are just their opinion

When we were kids
we had no way of making our mark upon the world - unless we were extremely skilled or talented or lucky. Consequently, it wasn't anything we were bothered about.
Now, its seems, everybody wants attention and, even more worryingly, victimhood. I blame the Internets.

I blame the educational establishment.
They teach every kid that they are special, that their opinion is valid, relevant and that they are entitled to be listened to. They are told that their self esteem is everyone's responsibility and that they have the right not to be offended. It's not like I think we should be mean to kids or anything, but telling them to shut the fuck up and not be a cry baby every once in a while really is important.

I think parents are are more responsible than schools.
Also, everyone IS special, their opinion is valid, relevant and they are entitled to be listened to.
As long as they are also taught that the existence of 6 billion other people means they have to play nice and share.

I prefer your cat posts than your political ones... but isn't that just true of everything
EDIT: also aren't you just as guilty contributing to the hyperbole political spectrum... these flashpoints are media bubbles, but the actual political issues that affect us all are going completely under reported...

And the Guardian or the Independent don't have their own political agenda to rile people up?
The Independent's 100 section even puts the Daily Mail to shame for it's in your face opinion on everything, and all the while actually managing to come across as far less intelligent if such a thing is possible, leaving you with the impression it's actually written by a fourteen year old.
Or, how dare the Daily Mail report on current events

the fact is I don't read any newspapers really because of the political bias with all of them, but it's the fact that straight away you assumed I was a reader of one of those papers that irks me... as though my criticism of one of the newspapers is somehow placated by the fact that others are bad too... this is the reason we can't get along, because you're side is against their side, and you have your newspapers and they have theirs... and they are lefties and you are right wingers... and blah blah blah, it's just so played out i'm afraid.

I think the suggestion is
that when someone shouts 'Daily Mail!', and the other side shouts 'Guardian!' it doesn't get us anywhere. It's no different from the left and right sides of the HoC using a previous governments' track record as an excuse for not doing a better job themselves.

What kind of retarded series is this? Really poorly researched.
Video is not really important, looks like all what was wrong with TED condensed, I'm just astonished how cringe
worthy it is.
Catchy title? Check. No real content? Check. Smug presenter? Check. Sweeping inaccurate generalizations AND gross
errors? You bet.
Only thing that's accurate here is that steroids are misunderstood by general public. Well, hardly any drugs are
so that's moot point.
Few real issues? Medical profession shying away from anabolic steroids for non-medical reasons (liability), criminalization
of possession against all recommendations, "The Anti-Aging Clinics" being borderline scams, huge wild west style black
market... He missed all of them.

I was wondering what will be the reaction here
a) He sounds good to me, what's wrong with it(1)?
b) Gosh, I have no idea what he is talking about, but he looks like a muppet to me still.
(1) For starters, he is talking about "coating" being harmful? I guess that's his name for
17 alpha alkylation? It's still needed for efficient oral delivery.
His something something heart massive doses vessels something?
Pure cringe. Few facts - heart changes in response to exercise alone (and those adaptions are
varied), heart changes in response to long term high blood pressure too. Long term changes
in heart in lifelong athletes are really hard to judge. Usually deemed ok, _as long_ as there
are no other problems. At least we know that high blood pressure is harmful, as we have a lot
more of this people around (well, for not so long).
More over, heart changes with bodyweight. As a muscle, it has it's share of androgen receptors,
thus men's heart is larger by default.
In short, it's so confounded it's hard to make any blanket statements, but higher blood pressure,
higher body mass and higher rbc is hardly optimal for older unfit men. That's why hrt is criticized,
that's why older men had more incidents of strokes, even if hrt just got them in healthy range.
