as all these things are subjective. The bottom one is always a good subjct. Wolves and a moon how can you go wrong? It is however poorly shopped ( certainly for competition standards ).
I don't mind your effort but the things that put me off it is the model just looks rough and stiff. ( I hope you submitted it without the anti NSFW bra because it looks like an inkblot ;))
The lighting on the model is all to cock compared to the light sources known to viewer the and your edges are a tad hard.
I'm personally into more convincing starfields but that's no way a criticism.
Sorry you asked now aren't you? ;)

or you'll be cutting your ears off before you know it.
I'm far from perfect myself and often overlook so many basic things but when asked to look I tend to spot them afterwards. ( it all depends on current levels of jesus juice )
I think the real thing, the more I look at yours is the lighting. It's always best to pick your composition pieces from pictures taken with similar lighting. The rock has a light source above and right. There is an obvious light source to the rear which is casting no shadow and the model has a light source front and left. It's accepted in a studio but for an 'outdoor' scene, well, you got your lanterns all over the place fella ;)
quickest way around things is transform all your pieces on the horizontal before you start so that they all have the light source coming from one general area.
Or ignore me, because I'm not nearly proficient enough with photoshop ( being self taught via the internet ) to lecture anyone.

You need more friends. If you would have whored out a link with which to vote here beforehand, you probably would have had at least one person who could be arsed to sign up to whatever forum to vote for you.
Or they voted for themselves. Which is a bit likely. Even a friend doesn't vote for a seamy wolf.

I used a very hi res moon image but it was so sharp it looked ridiculous. There is a fair amount of blur purposely added and some fade.
It was meant to have a surreal look to it ( and it only got the moon at the last minute, I was going to shop an alien planet.

If you look at our moon, it tends to look crisp, but it glows quite brightly, especially when it's that big. That makes the clouds around it a sort of off-white grey. What you've done is make the clouds colour affect the moon, rather than the other way round.
