Haze doesn't give much away in the trailers
but basically, you start off as a soldier for a medical/military company with cool weapons fighting poorly equipped insurgents. The twist is something called Nectar, which when administered gives you super abilities, but overdosing causes hallucinations and the loss of the ability to determine friend from foe.
it's being hailed as a war game that turns into a game about war it's all very MGS in its political stance looks interesting and pretty trippy in places

I'm simply against the 360
because it's a PC in a black box and my PC's are already higher spec than it. Almost all Xbox titles will be available on the PC at some point. I'm an RPG / strategy gamer and the PC will always do that better. The PS3 looks tempting but I know it would be a waste. I bought my PS2 when they were still quite expensive, never used it after the first few weeks and gave it away after a year.
(Pasanonic's been known to cause insanity in laboratory mice,
Wed 30 May 2007, 9:47,

and?
i've had a PS2 since it's release, i still buy games for it it's hosted some of my life's greatest gaming moments i wont be giving it away to anyone for some time :)
and yes, the xbox is a PC in a box a box that doesn't have to be "upgraded" every 6 months (my original is still played and it's 5 years old could you imagine playing PC games on a 5 year old PC?) a box that doesn't force me to "check my system requirements" everytime i purchase a game a box that hosts "finished" games that are without the need of patches and fixes after release a box that's dedicated to running games, not office software and tinternets :)
i love PC games, it's just such a shitty market that rewards it'sa followers by releasing stuff they can no longer play without spending another £400 on the latest Graphics card
i only use my PC for RTS games, it's the only area it has the advantage i hate MMORPGs, they just look poo, especially the fighting give me a proper one player RPG any day
(The King of HatsCone of shame,
Wed 30 May 2007, 9:52,

Oh I don't disagree
it's just a situation that suits me personally. I'd upgrade my machine regardless of being a gamer. I'm just like that. I'm a bit of geek with graphics cards and will always buy new when something substantially new arrives in the ATI portfolio.
I suppose it will all change in a couple of years when my boy is old enough to want to have a console.
Edit:// I'm with you on the RPG thing, I'm playing Neverwinter nights 2 and Oblivion shivering Isles right now. The idea of MMO does not apeal to me. Having said that I pop into WoW every now and again for a bit of light fun. Even then I'm a loner there.
