This is a link post time-lapse test I made this!
I'm thinking of doing some HD time-lapse landscape shots of some of the scenery around here, so I shot this short test sequence of the pub over the road. It's made up of a sequence of timed shots from a DSLR.

pull back was in post. i'd love to have the equipment to motorise that sort of thing though... especially a track of some sort, for smooth sideways motion. that'd be cool for maybe a populated outdoor sunset.

it's inspired me to go out and complete the project during August! I'm thinking hills/wandering people/sunsets. Might need a few more exposure tests first, and location scoutage, but watch this space!

edit: popular page, thank you guys, really didn't expect that for a test shot - those proper time-lapse landscapes will certainly be coming soon then...

This is a normal post now doing a zoomed-in sideways scroll as the next test
just worried that the lack of parallax will make it look less natural. probably would be ok for more distant and substantial subjects. maybe a gentle zoom increase would be better for now, just the same thing as this, but opposite.

edit: it's the first time i've done this, and it's really nice to have the freedom of 15mp images to zoom in and pan around. beats using a video camera i should think, at least for post-prod freedom.

I think GC should be reserved for board chitchat in reference to things that are truly GC like, well, the GC itself. A video that's been posted once before is not GC, Mr. Stabby is GC.

anyone to visit the many WW1 sites in Belgium and France. Tyne Cot, the Menin Gate and so forth. It is a life changing experience, and much like the Grand Canyon, no pictures or articles can describe what you see. Over 90 years on, there are still bomb craters, trenches etc remaining. Memory might be deceiving me, but I seem to recall in the corner of one cemetary a small plaque that read "Here lie the remains of 5,000 unknown German soldiers".

We visited one graveyard, where two old boys from the school are buried. They wouldnt have fought along side each other, they wouldnt have known each other at school, and yet they were buried about 5 yards apart.

Visiting these sites is something everyone should do.

There are several german sites like the one you mentioned. I remember one which had a sillouhette cutout of 4 soldiers as a memorial to all the unknown soldiers.

Is there actually an insect called the cockchafer, or were the entire Navy high on Chinese opiates?

Wish I had the clarity of perspective. I mostly just throw a lot of noises together and see what works. This has a lovely design to it.

Sorry to be a shit, but Tim Burton hasn't made a good film in about ten years, and this doesn't look like its gonna change anything. As usual, visually cool, but too much reliance on his missus and Depp.
