Nausicäa is awesome. The style can vary quite a bit from spartan to overwhelming, but it's a big inspiration for Laputa.
But it's the trailer for 'Whisper of the Heart' on all those DVDs that haunted me until I bought it. It's full of imagery like references to films that hadn't been made yet, and the way you don't realise the song is 'Country Roads' sung in Japanese until the end of the trailer is perfect timing. It was a big thing for them because the director snuffed it soon after it was finished. Look out for the girl and the cat sitting on the train as copied in 'Spirited Away', and a Kiki-like witch in a hanging decoration. 'The Cat Returns' is supposed to be a story written by the girl in this film.

If you love it, you have to get into Zelda if you're not already.
If you don't have a Wii, get Ocarina of Time on an old N64. Trust me. Failing that, Link's Awakening on an old Gameboy. A game so beautiful that once it dawns on you how it's been set up to end from the very first moment then you won't want to complete it. The last button press will break your heart and leave you a cynical wretch for the rest of your life.

It is amazing on the Wii
You realise that what 'Gun survivor' needed all along was the Nunchuck controller.
To play a ResE game with full character control and a pointy-shooty stick is a glorious dream come true. The controls are actually more playable than anything else on the Wii, including Zelda. To be honest, apart from the A button and B trigger, the other buttons on the Wiimote are a pain in the arse to use.

As well as the new Zelda (which is fab)
You can download Ocarina of Time from the Wii web shop to play on it. Though you'll need the classic plug-in controller too.
Although the new Zelda is a bit fiddly with the controls, don't you think? Sometimes the trigger is 'Select' and 'A' is back, other times it swaps round. And having to shake the controller rather than actually wield the sword is a bit of a let down, and it fucks up my left elbow doing the spin attack.

The marvelous thing is not that crabs are magnetic.
They are in fact, 'crabnetic'.
Scientists at CRABNET™ labs have been developing ways to enhance the crab catching experience in an attempt to rekindle the age old sport of crab fishing.
As it has become impractical for people to sit around and wait for crabs, what with the increasingly fast paced lifestyle of todays youth, and adult consumers, we deemed it necessary to study a new means of crab catching.
Whether it be through magnets, or other means, CRABNET™ are devoted to bringing you, and your friends and family, a much more enjoyable and safe crab filled lifestyle.

I have two religious education courseworks and three english courseworks to do. The deadlines are the friday of the test, and one of them is three weeks from now (My english teacher understands how much time I need! She is my mentor, after all.)
Three of the English projects are due Thursday. All I've done is read the short stories and start one of the posters. I still have to finish that, make a newspaper article for another story, and an 8-box comic strip for a third. Le sigh.
(KillerkittiLike my coffee black, just like my metal,

We're talking about the same thing :)
Coursework/project I tend to use the term "project" in art, more than anything. And ouch - better hurry! I have cooking on thursday, and I'm trying out different flavours and styles of cream for my angel cake. I'm taking this: And making it into a chocolate one :)
Hahah I only took cooking when I was forced to last year and it wasn't much fun. We learned how to cook with the microwave, since we weren't really trusted with the ovens. Ever had microwave brownies? Don't.
(KillerkittiLike my coffee black, just like my metal,

Eugh!
We're more than trusted with the ovens :) I wish I'd taken graphics, but I doubt the coursework would be any less dreadful than it is in cooking!
I hate microwaves. I burn chocolate in it. I have to get someone else to use it for me. *shudders* Ever tasted blackened chocolate? Don't.
I also once tried to make caramel. Another don't: Backcurrant in the sugar to make it melt quicker. I then forgot it was in there.
hahahahahahahah Our graphics teacher is crazy. I was forced to take that last year, as well, and oh my god! He yells all the time and wanted to hire me as a secretary for his business. He hires people from our HS, and has a screen printing business.
I can make monkey bread in a microwave. So ha! (although it isn't exactly hard)
On a random note, i finally have enough pop tabs to make a bracelet. Or five hahah.

My mum was forced to take typing.
She purposely got the answers in her exam wrong, she wanted to do woodwork. She accidentally passed, grew up and became a builder. :) Now she's a cleaner. Hmm.
I can make scrambled egg in the microwave, and I'm damn good at it! When in doubt - scrambled eggs.
We had these orange rubber things to cover the keyboards. Like keyboard condoms I guess. So we couldn't see.
Scrambled egg in the microwave? Really? I know in a pan/pot...but not microwave. I didn't think.

Ah! Of course!
I know what you mean :)
And yes, in the microwave: Crack some eggs, I usually use two or three, and stir with a fork in a plastic bowl. Put in a bit of milk or cream, and stick it in the microwave. Take it out every now and then, and when you can't see the liquid egg anymore, stir it up with a fork. Add anything you want to, salt, pepper (I ALWAYS put in some grated cheese) and stir it up a bit more. Put it in the microwave and keep checking and stirring until it's done :) You might need to add a tiny bit more milk every now and then, but it comes out delicious.
But the cheese with fruit mixed in and stuff always looks nasty in the shops.

Well if it was inedible, they wouldn't sell it :)
I love trying out random food combinations. I once tried to make my drink taste of almond, so I put in some almond flavouring but I forgot that it was oil based. I just had a puddle of almond floating at the top of my lemonade.
