It's honestly the best £2.50 I have ever spent! After several years of being told we couldn't go by my Dad, I finally got to go with my friends whilst on a boating holiday and we have never laughed so much! The best thing was to try and guess the celebrity before looking at the placard. Can understand why my Dad didn't take us as kids though - even the Mr Blobby doesn't resemble the real one. Would have been really disappointed

I went to Great Yarmouth once, couldnt get into the waxworks as it was shut. That town is such a dump. It's all mobility scooters, charity shops, blokes with evil looking dogs chugging Special Brew. You can tell that in it's day it was probably brill, but.....eurgh!!

did you see the gremlins thing posted the other day
it was awesome.
When Gremlins came out on video, my school thought it would be a nice christmas treat to show the film. Everyone was in the hall, sure enough, not long before some of the kids were in tears, scared to death lol.
Never understood the fear of that film, but my younger brother was one of those that was scared stiff by it. It was the pods and turning into the monsters that did it.
lol

Bullshit. The family cat when I was growing up was a Long-Haired Persian; she was perfectly capable of keeping herself clean, she just needed regular combing. The only time in her 18 or so year life that she got anywhere near a bath was the time she got out whilst the lawn was covered in weedkiller.

Oh plenty
Most of the square plastic buttons-are-in-the-handset are too plentiful to be easily identifyable, some are 1980s repos of earlier styles of phone (and again there were too many of those on the market to confidently identify them) and most of those which are obviously american are hard for me to identify as it's not really my area.
There are a lot of western electric 500 style phones in there too.
There's one Bakelite phone in there which looks like it could be a british pattern (based on the braided cord and the shape of the mouthpiece), but you can only see the handset so it's not easy to identify the actual phone.

Go to 0:14:54 for the bathroom fight. It's offensive.
Punching though someone's gut, ripping their insides out, and having their obese self fall backward onto the shower floor.
Nothing like it has ever been filmed. Nothing like it will be filmed again.

Lik means power.

Is it just the way they're portrayed here in the UK
or are the majority of republicans rather unpleasant selfish violent angry people? I encountered a few whilst out in the US earlier in the year (but not enough to form a general opinion), and whilst one or two were perfectly pleasant, the rest seemed to be slightly unpleasant, a little racist, and completely ignorant of the world around them.
I think the best thing they could do for their publicity is silence their supporters....

I've never met a nice republican ...
Actually I have met some. I now live in the States and I have a few friends and acquaintances who vote Republican. They are decent people, but it always worries me that they use financial and taxation as justification for their political beliefs - at the expense of what ? women's rights ? gay rights ? etc ...
There's a lot of right wing arseholes around too, mind you.

The really scary thing is how they are reacting
There seems to be a huge amount of anger about the fact that more than half the country doesn't share their opinion. Seems they don't really want to have a democracy at all, they are after more of a dictatorship.

Goddamned nutter
Isn't Romney a multi-multi millionaire? Also I'm going out on a limb here to say this crazy bitch isn't rich at all.
So where would be Romney's main interests lie? Improved Public Services? Education? Improved services for low income poverty stricken families? Cheap heathcare...wait, what healthcare?
Not a chance on all counts - more like free enterprise law making, more money flow towards the rich, more warmongering, etc etc.
Kind of sounds familiar, except in the UK our multi-millionaire party leader DID get voted in!
Yay Britain!

This is what happens when you divide the population
By polluting the media with bullshit about each other.
They polarize the country thinking that each other getting into power is a "Really Really Bad Thing".
When it really isn't, well maybe it is to some but its not that ^^^^ important.
Love the noises of the ice bouncing about in a glass and the exhales of an intake of cigarette, classy.
She also needs to look up some definitions of words, she quite clearly doesn't understand their meanings.

It seems to me he was correct. At 0:55 the graphics show a Democrat lead of under 32 kilovotes with over 1.5 megavotes still to be counted. That makes the margin a paltry 2% of the outstanding ballots.

Y'know, I like videos like these
there are more than enough clips out there that paint law enforcement as monsters, but it's good to remember that they are people too, not that far removed from your own circumstance, which this video nicely proves. He didn't pander to them particularly, he never lost control of the situation (not that there was one really) but allowed a bit of humanity to come through. What a decent guy!

there used to be a good youtube video of some police playing giants/wizards/goblins with some clown soldiers during the g8!
but that same week i saw a 10-11 year old kid getting truncheoned and i was kicked in the back a load of times by some other less gentle police... :D i know loads of police are awesome people. but if one of them is an absolute cunt the rest will back him up not stop him. i can even see why, the need to stick together, to keep yourself and your comrade safe and the knowledge that once a crowd sees a breakdown in solidarity/discipline the go a bit more mental. i have very mixed feelings about the police service.

You're not wrong
I can think of a few videos out there in which a police officer totally abuses his authority. The one where a cop 'confiscates' a young teenager's skateboard, being very confrontational (despite the kid and his mates posing no threat to national security whatsoever) and being a bully - no other word - sticks out.
I guess it still rings true though that officers are people. Some are decent and some use it as a mandate to be dickheads. I'm sure we've all encountered both from time to time..

the questions i ask myself are
does working in the police service make people more likely to abuse their power? does police work attract those who are likely to abuse their power? cos as far as i can tell they are more dickish than the general population.

A very good point and well made
I think I'm lucky in that in the few encounters I've had with Her Majesty's Constabulary they've tended to be pretty regular guys. I have no doubt, however, that from what I've seen on Youtube and the like that - maybe like those couple of scenes from Full Metal Jacket with that grunt dude - people can and do sign up to 'authorise' their sociopathic tendencies, without a doubt!

Try working in a job where people treat you with suspicion or hate and see how dickish you become. It's a tough and unpopular job and there are fewer of them around now because of it (well, that and the budget cuts). So much for the "Police State".

How To Speak French
I made this!
Several years ago, I made a crap video in Paris (it is here). Despite its willful rubbishness it got more hits than pretty much anything else I've ever done, so yesterday when I found myself back in France, I remade it using a posher font, a more expensive ice-cream and my older, sadder, crapper face.
