The one that was turned down was "Doctor Who and the Krikkit Men"
which became the basis for Life, The Universe and Everything. Shada was released on video with Tom Baker doing some linking about 15 years ago - and some of the unused footage from it of the Doctor and Romana punting on the Cam was used in the Five Doctors because Tom Baker refused to take part.

They spend more and are good for the economy and, just like everyone else, around 85% of their NHS costs happen in the last 8 days of their lives. Everyone becomes terminal - as long as they get to retirement age first then what's the problem? Indeed, it is healthy people who live beyond retirement who constitute the greatest drain on the economy.

there's a lot of buzz around them currently so it's deemed a sensibkle way for the government to seem to be doing good *healthier peoples* while making money. it's like boris banning drinkingon public transport... binge drinking is a big thing so i's seen to be tackling the £drinking culture" but he isn't he's just prohibiting it and prohibition generally breeds contempt. and this goes to enforce the culture rather than stem it. *in my opinion.. but my opinion is generally hellishly liberal*

We have been doing it for thousands of years.
Throwing away the bad plants etc. Tomatoes didn't just appear as they are, gardeners deliberately cross-pollinated them. See also livestock.

actually all DNA

If GM is done wisely, it could be controlled. Although with any luck we can get around ever needing it. btw: my "funny if it wasnt true" remark was in general rather than specific to GM crops.

it's generally down
to media induced hysteria. distortion and such. a recent study into video violence showed that there is no causal link that watch violence makes you wanna commit violence but it's just violent people have more of an affinity to watch violent things. no real news coverage coz it goes against the national hegemony. damn you hegemony!! Edit: my generally might not be all that general.. but more often that not in my opinion
