Meh, it does look good
I think it's taking the piss asking for full price, when it's essentially just an update of L4D. Especially given they've released tonnes of TF2 content for free.

I'm confused by the compo'ing
is this an obscure Bible reference? If its the usual B3ta post what you like under the challenge and stop going on about it grandad then that's fine, I'm trying to give up caring. But if everyone is doing that, surely there's no point having an image challenge, as we post what we want for non challenge stuff anyway. Sorry, that sounds like a criticism, please don't shout at me gang of b3ta bad boys.

no you make a good point but i have been posting squirrel wimin for my challenge entry for
the best part of a year now its more of a habit and ... i did make a valid attempt before my usual obscure reference. if jesus was in a manger and it was a modern day "crib" then mirrored ceilings and playboy models (often refered to as bunnys) would be in attendance. as for last nights referance to no doudbt on the tablets from mount siani www.b3ta.com/board/9710189

Modern day Joseph and Mary
Would drive 50 miles to the nearest Maternity Unit in a clapped-out Nissan Micra, only to be told that all the beds are occupied and due to NHS cuts there are not any midwives available. They'd then have to wait in a nearby Burger King car-park and have the baby in a skip, watched by rats, teenagers, tramps and drug addicts. There wouldn't be shepherds, there'd be security guards telling them to move on and stop causing a disturbance, and on the off-chance they'd be allowed to stay in the skip for 12 days, it wouldn't be 3 wise men who'd turn up, it'd be social services, not bringing gold, frankinsence and Myrhh (sp?), but taking the baby away to be brought up by well-meaning middle class lesbian foster parents. ED: Spent too long on this, now it's too far down the board. :(

In ancient Hebrew from at least one stage
Pomegranate was used for cunt (if you've ever seen a properly ripe pomegranate it has slightly more resemblance than the ones you see in shops, as they split open on the tree), but I don't know if the hebrew's from the same era. (Song of Songs/Song of Solomon - Shir HaShirim, if you're wondering.) Greek marriage rites included a quince, much like an apple, then again much not. So that was a bit of a love fruit to them. Though it's just the fruit of the tree of knowledge, a metaphor about the loss of innocence, realising you're naked, having to perform labour to survive and realising you want all the sexy. Though yes, your fruit = cunt thing is surprisingly close.

I woulda loved the idea of someone going "hurhur, fruit cunt" and the pure euphoria when their b3ta dreams are realised. Well, at least as a team we've educated a few more b3tans. Maybe we could nominate it for the next image challenge, High Fructose Fornication.

Yeah, but that doesn't bring back all your data..
I worked out the other day I have broken 1.5 TB of storage during my life. I have a stack of 7 dead hard drives sat on my shelf. Thinking of turning the platters into coasters or something.

That is far too sensible.
I really am a disaster with hard drives. At one point I got so fed up with losing all my data that I built an indestructible fan cooled external drive enclosure. Sadly the combination of wooden case and polystyrene cushioning proved to be highly flammable.

I wan't do a couple t-shirt designs
being a bit cack handed with my drawing style, I wanted to do vectored lines to make therm perrty. Any ideas for free software thats easy to do that with? I have PS but I can't work out how to do it? ie. want to draw a line that will snap into neat curves, rather than my lines that are heavily effected by my DT shakes...
(
Jorvic ,
Fri 25 Sep 2009, 16:20,

It really was a test
To see how smooth I could get the lines. I used to use elements 2 because I'm usually poor. Those lines always came out slightyly rough rather than smooth. It was a pisspoor program anyway. I want to so more serious and technically impressive stuff though it might worth splashing out on. Though I'll probably use CS for inking and Gimp for colouring, because Gimp has great colouring tooks, but the lines come all all soft round the edges.
