Actually I have some rather distressing news about Mr. Dicaprio.
My best buddy worked closely with him for a short time during post-production of a movie. The dirt is: he's professional, polite, patient, genuinely good at the technical side of the business, and is most decidedly not a dick.
Makes you sick, doesn't it.

it's possible (probable, even) that clear evidence will be produced that the prat pulled his trigger first, and within a few days.
With the amount of video technology amassed at the scene, the details will be inescapable.
Unless there's an inquiry which delivers its findings in 2018.
However; the pic of the snarling taser copper is total b3ta-bait. As it might be to every highbrow political cartoonist in the land.
And this idea of "b3ta-judgement" is, I reckon, wobbly. People approach b3ta from all kinds of angles. Some get shouted down from time to time,
but always re-emerge. Or cease to bother.
It's possible that, after a few years, there's a community forming (you know this better than me). But there's a high turnover. Veterans getting sick of it, and new people who love it. Its values might change.
As an arch-b3tan yourself, perhaps you might like to call a summit meeting to revise the FAQs?

At last report, there were two officers with tazers at the scene.
So it's 50/50 that he's our man.
But he was the first person I thought of when they announced that a tazer was discharged - he just looks like the kind of guy who'd zap another guy for fun..
EDIT: And I don't pretend to know whether or not the tazer was fired before or after Moat pulled the trigger. It's possible I never will.

the whole gurning to the camera shows a high level of unprofessionalism given the sensitivity of the siege situation. He should, if for no other reason, be brought to book for his childish gung-ho behaviour during this ordeal.
As for b3ta the whole gurning makes him a perfect meme to have the piss ripped out of him, Freebase is a very popular meme and that bloke didn't really do anything nearly as wrong as this Policeman other than have his photo taken during a rowing competition :D

although I didn't see it as gurning when I saw it, I read his expression more as a snapshot of a man talking or possibly shouting "get that fucking camera out of my face can't you see I'm a little tied up right now" :D

indeed look like that could be true. However, shouting and gurning to Photographers is not exactly tactful behaviour given the situation and more like to provoke a negative response that a bunch of prats with cameras looking for that Front Page shot, it also shows the lack of control the Police have in securing the area.

but I'd rather they were concentrating on the task at hand,
rather thatn thinking about what they look like in front of a cameraman.
although you can't guarantee impartiality from all police officers all the time either, so I'd defend the press in their right to take the pictures too.
again, it's going to be down to how the humans involved respond to the moral necessities at the time; although external pressures like "getting the scoop" sometimes outweight morality in the case of the press, occasionaly the police murder black people. it's swings and roundabouts.
/note sarcasm in the above statement ;D
