about 2/3rds of the way done with this etching, based off the charcoal sketch i did last week (although i flipped it in ps since prints come out mirrored). Perspective has some issues, but fsck it. Some fuzzyness in the middle from joining two scans together that can't be helped. I hate this project. I can't stand working with only line.

Widley eh? I was actually in Portsmouth just 3 weeks ago. Grew up in Horndean. If you get a chance, check out one (or both) of my brother's bands, ("Dropzone" or "Stolen Goods")

S'funny world
When I was over I spent some time a floor or so away from ivesb and spent a fair chunk of time not far away from Widley (up in Purbrook)
Both bands play fairly heavy stuff. I understand Dropzone plays the heavier stuff (unfortunately I've blanked on what they play but I know they stopped playing Greenday after people kept calling them "the band that plays Greenday"). Stolen Goods go a bit lighter and aren't quite so polished. Stolen Goods is Portsmouthy based and Dropzone is more Chichester way.
I can't believe I'm blanking on what they play, I only saw them a few weeks ago. There was definitely some Rage Against the Machine and Slipknot.
They're supporting Tygers of Pan Tang in Brighton on the 20th.

Well,
Unfortunately, to pull you back into awkward-space for a second, it was The Rowans. So not fun-happening-time I'm afraid.
I ended up moving away cause the weather is too depressing. Rain and cold I can handle but I need a bit of sunshine once in a while. I get that out here but it's also nice and green like England too. I do miss a good pint though.
Every time I go back, things seem to be worse though. House prices crazy high, roads too crowded, government getting too uppity. I'll always have a soft spot for England but I don't think I'll ever move back permanently.
(Richy_Thundreds if not thousands of dollars,

Ah, I see
That is just down the road though... There is a very small chance that our paths may have crossed.
Can kinda see what you mean about England's weather, but I personally don't really mind it. The government/house prices/inheritance tax etc are all completely screwed though... so fair enough about that!

Ooh! A long thread of '60s pop with lots of youtube links...
...I can see where my morning's going.
And just for my own two pennies' worth: I can't understand the appeal behind the Beatles either. Yes, they were popular and inspired a lot of other bands. What they didn't do - the common misconception - is invent all those genres with which they're often credited. Merseybeat, Psychedelic, British Blues, etc., existed before the Beatles dabbled with them. To their credit, they probably helped to popularise these styles, but they didn't create them.
Still don't see why people like them so much though. Woo to all the Kinks and Zombies fans and, most importantly, how has the thread got this far without a mention of The Who?*
he was told last night, Numerous times if I recall.
He had all the time to sort it out. I don't recall them removing the bit saying but you will rarely need to make your image larger than 400 pixels wide.
It's hardly difficult and highly courteous to link to a bigger image.
(Pasanonic's been known to cause insanity in laboratory mice,

But where does it say it's a rule to post anything bigger than a certain width?
Nowhere. Leave the poor noob alone, I'm having flashbacks.
Odd, I'll accept. Maybe it's just me but I can remember everything getting shouted at when I started if it was over 400px wide. Mind you those same paupers had shitty little monitors on 800x600 at best.
Perhaps its just me but they provided us with hosting and auto thumbnailing I think it is polite to use it.
(Pasanonic's been known to cause insanity in laboratory mice,

The fatal flaw here is that you're assuming b3ta is, in fact, polite.
I only really get fucked of with people flaunting 'the rules' if the idea is shit and / or it's not funny / well executed. I found this funny so don't really see the problem.
'Politeness' and 'neatness' seem a little bit bureaucratic for a place that's supposedly meant to be about having a laugh.
Regarding the size of images I am going to not read the faq approximately another 200 times per 15 minutes as the narcissistic lobe in my brain takes over and I keep refreshing the page to read people's comments. Then again, maybe I'll eat the faq and feed complainers to Heather Mills where they'll be processed in her ride's four different stomachs, then shat back into her mouth.
Rest assured I will not not also make future images not this big.
(Rapitinuiget in the cage and I'll give you a treat,

Hah.
Seriously, don't worry about it. The FAQ is a GUIDELINE that says pictures RARELY need to be over 400px in width. Nowhere in there does it say you CAN'T post anything bigger. And it's under the filesize limit, so you are absolutely fine.
and I know you made that parameter ( I don't give a fuck, it's about time the paupers got proper internet ;) sorry Flowerpot, not you )
it's about an image filling the whole screen. There is just no need, it's untidy. I know you want people to see your creations in all their glory but load them to b3ta hosting and use the click for bigger option. Let the viewer decide if they want to fill the screen with it.
That's the honest, not taking the piss reply.
And welcome. I didn't say it last night because I'm usually an ignorant cunt.

Also I don't think it was anything dietary, I believe it may have been some form of anal fissure or tear which was stopping dilation.

Apparently I should cut down on refined sugar
But I've never had anything other than refined sugar that doesn't leave a chemical smear on top of my cuppa, and make it taste like shite. Other than honey, and vanilla syrup... both of which are too overpowering.
I'm still raging, because i thought we'd sneaked it. Bit disappointed at the lot of them getting involved at the end like that. Bunch of fannies. I turned the game off right on the final whistle, so i missed it all, but just saw some of it and I'm still not sure why weir and caldwell got red cards... wasn't that bad. there were a few punches thrown elsewhere that will likely result in some retrospective reds. So, basically, we could be fucked for the next few games.
They showed a bit of the fracas after the highlights on Setanta. I'd gone right out for a smoke on the final whistle, and it had cut for adverts anyway. It seemed as if it started with McManus and Bazza, and after that everybody jumped in. I had thought a few times in the game their lot were going to get red carded, they were losing the plot.
mcmanus punched ferguson, not sure what ferguson did, but i think he may have spat at mcmanus
caldwell seemed to try to punch weir, while weir had him round the throat. novo and mcgeady apparently had a tussle, while mcdonald wanted to fight anyone. that's all i could glean from the shit youtube video posted by some excited scumtic fan.
Or I should probably go and sleep it off. I'll hear it all at work tomorrow. All the septic fans that haven't been septic fans until they win will no doubt be all around me tomorrow rubbing it in. But fuckem, they're willing nothing this season, they hate their manager, and their players are shite.
