It's a western, set in space. No aliens, no laser guns, just some men on the raggetty edge with an old boat and not enough money to fuel her.
Joss won't work with Fox again after what they did to his series (Firefly).

angel needed at least another 4 episodes to properly tie off all the loose ends in the storylines. as it stands, it feels seriously rushed, and killing off characters too soon and without proper justification. like 4 episodes crushed into one, replacing plot for more punching things.

I don't think I saw the conclusion to Angel. I did meet the Mighty Joss in 2002 when everything was in full swing.
He was as full of awesome as you'd expect from an ugly potato man.
Amy Acker is gorgeous and lovely and she signed my PowerBook.
I loved firefly so hard (I've mentioned earlier) I cried several times watching that film. I bought it four times over on various DVD formats (DVD, HD-DVD, Special edition, DVD again for my parents). In fact, I nearly bankrupted myself getting the HD-DVD drive for my Xbox 360, just so I could watch Serenity in HD. For about a year, it was the only HD-DVD that I owned.

but he has other projects, and i'll throw whatever support and recomendation i can in his direction.
and good to hear Amy Acker is as fantastic in person as she appears on-screen! her ability to switch between completely different roles in an instant.. well thats possibly the most moving tv ever. can watch that over and over..

...between her and Alyson Hannigan, they're the best 'crying' actresses on TV, ever.
Joss latest project is 'Dollhouse,' which I'm very excited about. It also has Liza Dushku as one of the Dolls!

It's where FireFly / Star Trek / Farscape / [nineties scifi show] seems to end up these days.
Except for Summer Glau, who got quite the coup working on Terminator:: Sarah Connor...

farscape and firefly, two relatively unknown programs gave so many actors to other programs.

...although Nathan Fillion was a big bad in season seven of Buffy, Gina Torres was Jasmine in Angel, Summer Glau got her first acting break in Angel, and Jewel Staite was a potential Slayer in Season 7 of Buffy...
Joss looks after his girls and guys.
I never got on with Farscape, for reasons I mentioned earlier (Muppets on the bridge).
Exam?

the connection between vala and mitchel in stargate makes much more sense after you see farscape, its genious. they know each other so well i wouldnt be surprised if they invented their own lines half the time

...Vala and Mitchell have so much chemistry on set it's hard to fake. I've been watching SG-1 since 1997 so I've followed everything. I still cry when I watch Janet Fraizer's death scenes. And yes, I cried when she popped up again in season 10.

Instant photographs have their uses, like checking light levels and such, but this can all be done digitally now.
Also, my only photographic memory of a recently deceased cousin is a polaroid print made in 1986. If it had been 35MM, it might have lived on.
I love analogue technologies, but photochemical prints have had their day.

I'm an engineer.
There's nothing wrong with having tangible, palpable objects like photographs, but in the 21st century we have to accept that most of the intermediate steps are likely to be digital.

However, film should be used where it can. In my art, I've always shot film, scanning it to sizes you'll never get with the fanciest digital camera you can think of.

...photos were never really my thing, I never got good prints back from the lab, my first good photographs were digital.
My favourite synthesisers are completely analogue, there's a quality to the voices that just can't be recreated digitally.
