Just trying out an idea for a cartoony style with real pics, looking for a bit of feedback.
Edit: Holy Coincidence Batman! I've just come on the board to post this, and it seems everyone is doing fake vectors tonight.

I was hoping that wasn't the case. I spent a bit of time on this trying out different things, there's a few things gone into this. Admittedly I've used cutout somewhere along the way, but only because I'm shit at vectors.

Most of them aren't pixel-perfect traces, but a representation of the shapes and colours of the original, in an aesthetically pleasing form.
Compare the 'vectors' of IVV and mofaha. If they were to do pieces based on the same image, you'd see the differences in style.

But the changes are usually incredibly subtle with direct traces, and nothing interesting or stylistic ends up added - so the image just looks boring.
This is all just my opinion, by the way. It's obvious people like this sort of thing, else they wouldn't do it. I just think things like this could be far better and appeal to far more people with just a few simple changes.
Mofaha's stuff is a good example of traces that look more stylish because of the tweaks he makes to them. Even if it is something as simple as noise.
