libraries are brilliant.
i had this moment of clarity recently where i just went - 'shit! as many free books as i can eat just minutes away, and here i am stood in Fopp trying to stave off death by boredom through purchasing endless crap dvds for a fiver a time!' and then i went to the library. just in case that wasn't obvious from the subject line.
(

Well I can not argue with your logics!
I accidentally stole from Fopp about a year ago. I had loads of CDs in my hand and I was downstairs, so couldnt be bothered to go upstairs and get a basket, so I just put a ocuple in my bag so I wouldnt drop them. I completely forgot about them :(

Oxfordshire
needs more cycle lanes. Cars are getting bigger and drivers are getting more numerous and stupider. That said, I firmly believe that if you're driving a car and you kill a cyclist after dark and they haven't got lights or a helmet it's: a) not a crime and b) the responsibility of the dead cylcist's family to pay for repairs to your car.

Same for cyclists crossing the road without dismounting

All the bike accidents I know of 'round here have happened
because the riders in question were ignoring basic safety and endangering themselves and other people by riding in ways that were fun instead of safe. Which pisses me off a massive amount. I don't care if you want to risk your own neck, but you haven't got the right to endager other people more than they can reasonably epxect based on the rules of the road. That said, all the near-misses I know of were caused by people in cars not being aware of their surroundings and were prevented by the decent reactions and alertness of the bikers.

Possibly.

I'm fine, and have avoided all manner of personal injury today. However, here's a top tip for you fab and groovy and windswept and interesting people: If you decide to have a bit of toast in the evening, make sure after finishing you switch off the toaster plug and not the fridge plug sitting right next to it. You'd be amazed at how much water the average top freezer section of a fridge holds when you open the door first thing in the morning

not actually revealed, just a FUCKING MASSIVE HINT which davies is unlikely to reveal as a FUCKING MASSIVE COINCIDENCE but i'd say there's more of a story to it as there's the whole paradoxical nature of the doctor telling jack how he's going to die, and that he has to tell the doctor about the master etc
