Macdonalds had been warned that their cups were unsafe and had chosen to ignore it, several other people had already been badly burned, the coffee was actually considerably hotter than any cup you might make yourself because the design of the cup kept all the heat in - and basically, she had every right to sue. There are more than enough genuinely frivolous lawsuits around without building up urban legends around ones were there was a good reason for it. Oh, and she got nowhere near 13 million.

Is it in the record shops now? She was better in The Sugarcubes, when they played Sheffield Uni. it was so cool.

It might be okay if your friend has bad B.O. then 2 lengths of a football pitch is about right.

EDIT: eeeep, now who's the stupid one?...I can't even spell 'if' ;)

edit: I was discussing that with the reverend actually, about how we should have specific anti troll enforcers. Basically mods, but without the power to FP anything. Just edit and delete, and itd be our job to collar wankpots, and then put it to the board as to whether their posts should be deleted or not...

and some trolls make some surprisngly good points and give good discussions, it's when they post goatses we worry

if a thread gets well developed, then keep it, even if it is a troll, but if its the same person quickly posting bollocks things, then have someone on hand to sort it out. And yeah, I came to the conclusion that it wouldnt happen anyway, cos there are plenty of mods.
however, I still think they should make either you, me or kitty a mod to police the hours between about 2-7ish...

to be fair, more aged and experienced than us, but if you feel there's a good point there, there's no harm in emailing cal

have a bowl of chilli sauce and still wants more!...
Sorry, had nothing to do with that post, I just thought it was impressive!
In a related note, I see your point there! Could be a good idea. I know most mods spazz back to see some pictures they've missed and front page them late...but that doesn't get rid of trolls, sometimes there's just no one around to edit/delete their posts and it's annoying as fuck. Have you emailed Rob to discuss this to see if certain people can be given this "power" for a trail time, see how it goes, see if people can be trusted and so on, and see if the place becomes fluffyer?

I would feel kind of stupid trying to tell him how to run the place. Its nothing to do with me afterall. it was just a thought I had earlier. It was more to with the fact that the nightshift is more active than it ever was these days, but we dont always have mods about.

who's a mod and who isn't...some make it more obvious than others. I know Spacefish and Fnord are about at night, sometimes lurking...but I never pay that much attention.
