nVidia's new GeForce Ultra 6800 scores better though as far a i'm concerned. but it's very expensive. not sure it's worth it

Go with Radeon. The drivers always need updating but the new cards always outperform the latest Geforces.

a FX5900 which was my 1st Nvidia based card .. And to be honest, although its rocks the graphical world its not as stable as the ATI cards .. I think id go for ATI was i to fork out again .. :(

I my book it's borderline for a new post (rather than a TJ).
I still don't get why the board still suffers from thread wastes (as a concept I mean).
You could easily* do things like having a thumbnail gallery of image posts for quick 'catch up' browsing and store a cookie to allow you to continue from where you were last time.
I actually like the idea of starting a thread with a subject that's specific to the content and then allowing people to choose only to browse the image based threads if they want.
* - Providing that it was easy to determine which were image posts and which weren't.
