If I don't shave daily ( wet ) then I have to use my remington hair clippers to get it down enough so that I can scrape it off with teflon blades.

clear sky but that is in no way disparaging. If it is PC I have never heard of it and if it is console then I never will.
I will say this, despite the push on Xbox360 for Fallout there is no doubt it is a PC game and an old-fashioned one at that. This is what makes it good. If it had been developed for console it could have been very awful.

SofC has more lonely atmosphere, both have superb graphics directly from photos of Chernobyl area. CS has UNSCRIPTED combat AI and faction wars. Worth a look (but patch them before playing).

a while back. Sadly too many games are coded for the market ( console ) thse days as opposed to being coded for the fan. Of course you can't make the best game ever for PC and then port it to box unless the box gets a keyboard but it's a shame for the developers that original content is discarded for commercial functionality.
I think Stalker was like that. Also I'm really not a FPS fan. and quite honestly F3 might lose me soon, I'm just a fan of the old games and think this looks beautiful on a dual GPU high end card but at the end of the day it looks like it will become a shoot-em-up with rpg character building stats. That will bore me eventually.

basically a fps with clever AI and some rpg elements, I liked the realism though. Not easy though, weapons are realistically inaccurate/jam/wear etc. and terrain is nice.

edit #2: motion blur+contrast+hue+more noise = better
I'm not happy at all with the image and I'd appreciate it if someone could advise. I'm using Paint.net (for simplicity)and adding blur/noise altering contrast/hue etc. isn't helping.

the only really noticeable thing is the difference in lighting between the two

one thing i did do as well was duplicate the layer and work on the top one of the two, then i could erase the lightened hair/eyes/lips to reveal the unlightened ones below. long winded but it works.

is imperative to have a 'flats' layer. All comic book renderers and illustrators ( professionals that is ) do it that way. get your flats layer then you have a layer that acts as an instant selection layer for all parts of the image. And when you have a selection it acts like an old fashioned frisket so that you never render outside the lines.

Yeah, you should learn about using layer masks. It makes certain jobs much easier. The planet thing I did in Summer uses quite a few ( and was painted in photoshop for a change )
I don't use quick masks a lot but they can be useful.
I have been meaning to write some tutorials for some time and must get on with that. Often it has nothing to do with skill or talent and just requires people sharing knowledge and technique to get great effects.
( I'm all for sharing, saying "I can do this and you can't so I'm super" is just pathetic )
