Drop me a line. If its in Derby, I'm afraid I shall be no help as the only thing I know about Derby is that it is a pain to drive around!

*refuses to apologise for unshopped photo... and words*
Hello everybody. I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words and thoughts over the last couple of weeks. I'm finding it very difficult at the moment, but it has been a huge comfort to know how many people have been thinking of me, and how well-loved Nina is (I can't bring myself to say "was"). Nina's family have been looking through the stuff on here too, and they're blown away by everyone's kindness: her mum has even registered so that she can thank people personally. Loads of people have helped me out with things since the accident, I'm not going to name any names, but you all know who you are; thank you so much, although I may not have shown it it's been very greatly appreciated. Nina's funeral was held at her parents' farm last Sunday, and although it's just wrong to say it was lovely, it was the perfect service for her. I'm convinced that if someone had told her all this was going to happen and asked her to design the service herself, it would have been pretty much as it was - right down to making sure the sun was bright enough to burn my head! Her parents have decided that they'd like to use the money raised through the icon donations to build a memorial to her in the garden, under an oak tree in the corner. The farm was her favourite place in the world, she'd be pleased with that. We haven't spoken about it too much yet, but her mum has mentioned a gothic stone folly, with gargoyles and statues. She wants you guys to be involved with the design too, as she wants it to reflect Nina's sense of humour and be somewhere that we can remember her, but smile too. I'll be posting more stuff about that at some point... watch this space. Finally - could you all do me a favour please? If you made a tribute picture for Nina could you gaz me a link to the thread? I want to collect them all together. They've pretty much without exception made me cry, but I hope that one day they'll make me smile instead. I keep seeing stuff and thinking "I'll show Nina that when she gets home... oh". Here's a photo of a picture Nina's parents had made for the service, it's from a vector that was done by Aphex the Mink which she loved: CFB

I've been mostly just lurking on B3ta for a while, but this whole event really brought home to me quite how much of a genuine community of people who care about each other it is. So one last time, many kind thoughts to you, Nina's family and also the many folk here who knew her.

I haven't really anything to add; I don't know either of you personally, but the exchanges on here I had with Nina were only ever lovely, happy, and smiley, and I would never wish what you're going through on absolutely anyone at all. I just trust that in time, as you say, you will be able to smile about the memories instead of cry about these moments.

don't know either of you personally, but its obvious how much you are both liked and for very good reasons. One thing I will mention though, are you sure its a good idea to have B3tans involved in the design of the memorial? It could get very strange, very quickly! :-)
