This is a normal post Now, I don't think it's fair to make hard-and-fast generalisations about a whole society based on just one YouTube video.
But if I was gonna do that ... I'd say what have we learned about America from this one video? It's a country that's obsessed with its own blind patriotism, with its own religious fundamentalism, with sexualised violence, and there's a weird homophobic undercurrent going through some of it, as well.

Turns out there's a lot of these guys in the bibble belt and some of the more outspoken ones do fit the demographic.
What's weird is that some of these are affluent and appear to have nice (FB) lives but they still have a big axe to grind.
Makes you wonder what they need to worry about.

A so-so film overall but helped immensely by Matt Frewer's senile White Knight forlornly singing "hey nonny nonny" while riding an old nag.

Also Tim Curry as Dodo and Colm Meany as the Red King. I'm sure Harry Dean Stanton was in there too.

A nuke takes a controlled, shaped detontation to set off the fission.

Its not like uranium is a gas or is soluble, so it will just sit around - It's a metal.

So in summary if the story wasn't bullshit to start with, there's only a tiny localised threat from a "decayed nuke".

2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (180 degrees if fan assisted).
3. Soak the month old lettuce in cold water, and keep the gunk for garnishing.
3. In a casserole dish sear the beef / cat on all sides by frying in oil for about 3 - 5 minutes.
4. Add the super strength lager and stir well, coating the beef / cat with it's beery goodness.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and put in the oven for approximately 45 minutes.
6. While it cooks eat the Twix.
7. After 45 minutes, remove from the oven and put back on a high heat, stirring until all the liquid has reduced.
8. Serve.

This is a normal post Could one of you IT types take a stab at quantifying what the saving would probably be?
I understand that there must be some costs associated with maintaining it but what would you be realistically talking?

This is a normal post Search engine cost, bandwidth, possibly QA to check it isn't broken by upgrades, pennies for storage
Probably far cheaper than the cost of taking it down.

This is a normal post aye, it doesn't make any sense
Once it's up, it's up. It probably costs more to take it down

and more about non-competition

This is a normal post It's an easy option for the BBC
It whips up public fury to help oppose BBC cuts. If they do a U-turn they come out as the good guys who listened to the public, and if they don't they can sell more cookery books.

This is a normal post Fuck all probs, at least nothing significant.
Like yokel says it's about moving it into 1 commercial entity. Staffing can certainly be decreased saving some dosh. Most likely an attempt to simplify. In fairness it makes sense to only run 1 recipe website rather than split your offering. It may move more hits to the commercial side and provide extra cash as well.

This is a normal post This is a disgrace
We've all paid for this but it must be deleted because our government seems hell bent on destroying anything in state hands that is of actuall quality. What about the health benefits of encouraging people to learn to cook well for themselves?

This is the ideological equivalent of book-burning.

If anyone knows of a petition to stop this, please do pass on the link.
