The government has announced in the emergency budget how it will save money by closing military training grounds.
"there are so many playgrounds out there, it makes sense to double them up as military training facilities. The parents know they are safe from rampant terrorists hogging the swings, the kids get to see the soldiers in action and thus grow up to be more patriotic, and we get to train the soldiers who will protect our nation overseas. It's an all-round perfect solution!"

Zaphlegidae ("The Fiery-Tempered Ones") is a family of extinct, snake mackerel-like, or escolar-like fish whose fossils are found from Late Miocene strata of Southern California.

however...
Lithology once was approximately synonymous with petrography, but in current usage, lithology is a subdivision of petrology focusing on macroscopic hand-sample or outcrop-scale description of rocks, while petrography is the speciality that deals with microscopic details.
Actually currently the Daily Mail are calling him a Scot
because he doesn't yet know if he'll bow to the Queen.
I love the Daily Mail.
Edit: See also that not bowing to the Queen is equivalent to anti-English sentiment (cos the Queen's English, see!!!!11! she's the queen of england it sez so i saw it on telly) and that obviously holding even mildly nationalist views is equivalent to rabid republicanism and vice-versa even though these are totally distinct issues.

We need a challenge
that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who visits the board can agree on. That's the way forward, I think. Otherwise the board'll just be full of people saying that they don't like this weeks compo. And that would be bad.

was watching the new Doritos ad that won the competition you entered and I'd have to say yours was far better and more inventive. The whole District9 effect has been done to death now, meh!

I think they must have remade it
but couldn't say for sure - which is why Mr Toasts ad was far better it wouldn't have had to be reworked.
(maidenis filmed before a live studio audience,

I assume it was an entrant, one with lots of expensive software, staff and a way of ignoring half the rules
(unless they got sign off from every single person in what was quite a large crowd scene)

It seems very odd to run a competition for 'amateurs' and then the winner clearly seems to have had the budget of an average british film
(Joe Scaramangawith a G-double-O-D vibration,

Saying that the whole District 9 effect can be simulated in AfterEffects very cheaply
however the raw footage to be tracked on what looks like a "Red", the crowds and the laboratory scene and actors must have clearly been beyond amateur budgets.

lots,
no trademarks visible, everyone on screen must sign a release, suitable for showing at any time (nothing scary or rude), etc etc. But with a possible prize of £200,000 its not surprising professional operations had a go.
(HappyToastGroat froth,

Yeah wide open for professionals to exploit the "amateur look"
but this is so obviously made to look like that it shouldn't have won - we need up-and-coming talent not professionals muscling in for the cash.
Next time, Toast go full b3ta on their asses and make it as edgy as you dare - you never know they might just go for it, remember that Mobile phone frog with his willy out now the world needs to see a Happy Toast design full frontal!

but somehow I am not being drawn to the new Doctor this season...
maybe I am just an old get, but he does not seem like a Proper Doctor, and the scripts are not helping. I will give it a bit more of a chance before I stop recording, but I just don't know.
I think he's the best thing since Baker and the scripts have been the best possibly ever at times. But then I'm not a huge Who fanboy so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
