you're right
it's pretty awful, Fiennes and Thurman are totally lacking in warmth. Sean Connery is bizarre too, the only decent characters are the secondary/minor ones.
They cut the film to shreds in editing to get the running time down to 90 minutes, so it barely makes sense. None of the trailer footage made the film at all. No idea if a 'directors cut' would be a better film, but it would have to be a more coherent one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO9asQS3rUQ

There really is some sad people in our society if they think for one moment that the painting of this young lady has to be criticised in such a horrible way.

I quite like the painting
I see a hard nosed determined woman behind the public facade, maybe the artist saw this. I hope it's true and she has a dastardly plan to fuck up the royals if she's queen, take 1/2 of all property and incredible wealth in a divorce settlement and give it all back to the people.

From what I can work out, someone is being accused of using other peoples work as a reference, possibly even tracing them - something which has gone on since the dawn of drawing. Seeing as this site is mainly about photoshopping existing images, your outrage might fall on confused/deaf ears.

Hahahahahaha "Internet fanny works"
I'm pretty sure tracing stuff roughly is perfectly fair use. The guy is completely redrawing it, not just photocopying. Unless the original artist has placed a copyright or trademark on the specific part of the image under question then it's fair game.

I was drawing on the plane to pass the time (14 hours from Singapore to London Deathrow) and still managed to start that more than six hours in and finish with enough time to watch a film. The staff on the plane liked it as that's a Singapore Airlines attendant from the in-flight magazine.

I concur.
They are running a story today on an animal charity that is round the corner from me. Painting them to be money grabbing, animal killers, encouraging people not to donate. The ignoring of facts and placing blame on people without any care for the consequences is fucking sickening. I know they print worse daily, but when it's people you know who volunteer their time and do nothing but care for living things that have been abused or abandoned, it kind of hits home just how much of a sickening, diseased piece of shit that paper is.
