Good Morning shitwhistles.
What a splendid morning. I got home from work in record time this morning due to no traffic. I met Lisa Tarbuck earlier. What a nice normal type of person she is for a sleb. I'm going to have a shit now, then wake up the Mrs with a cup of tea. What are you lot doing today? I'm fitting a new cooker hood. Exciting times.
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 7:47, archived)
I completely ballsed up a programme last night because I was pissed
but then what can you expect when I've just worked a 22hour shift, eh? EH? I fancy Lisa Tarbuck. In a sort of hot dinner lady/your friend's mum way.
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 7:49, archived)
She is a really nice person and has a filthy sense of humour.
said I was lovely on her wireless broadcast this morning. She's right though, I am.
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 7:55, archived)
which program?

I'm making some new stands for my kayak (which splits up into three pieces)
and making a new trolley for my kayak (so I can walk it to the beach and back; only 10 minutes walk).

I might do some more 3D Star Wars renders using nothing but letters for the image competition.

A bit hypomanic atm, but I have to do as much as I can with the highs whenever they turn up...

Give one's regards to wifey etc.

(Lisa seems really down to earth on TV; glad she is like that in real life)
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 7:50, archived)
I'm going to pop to M&S to buy furnature and stuff.
This is going to be an expensive month! I've also got to get a TV license, sort out contents insurance, blah blah blah.
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 7:52, archived)

Are you rich or a bit daft in the head organ?

I felt a bit guilty watching the Jennifer Connolly in Once Upon A Time in America last night
She was only 12 years old when she in was in this film, but it was impossible to look at her and not think of the very beautiful/sexy adult Jennifer Connolly...

(great film, but seriously dark though; the violence isn't graphic by contemporary standards, but there's so much hatred/misogyny behind it)

I only ripped at 192kbs the first time round.
Listening on speakers I can't tell the difference, but when I put on a pair of decent headphones it doesn't sound as nice.

Whether it sounds bad enough to spend a week or so ripping CDs, I'm not so sure.
(, Mon 25 May 2009, 3:17, archived)
From 192 to ~320 is a noticable difference, but from 320 to lossless is a horrible waste of space for a change in quality you wont pick up.

Yeah, you're almost certainly right.
VBR is probably the way to go, and it's just my inner geek who can't bear the thought of an imperfect reproduction, no matter how ridiculously minute the difference is.

I know what you mean, but to my mind 30mb for a track is a big price to pay for lossless.
If you don't already use it, I really recommend EAC for CD ripping.

EAC is what I used the first time round.
Sadly I don't have it on this computer because it isn't running Windows, but I imagine it'll run under Wine.

Regardless of whether you are or aren't going to post semi naked pictures of yourself on b3ta the promise of doing so is hyper lame.

It's your own body and you can do what you want with it. Personally, I just think using it to get attention on b3ta is a stunningly unimaginative way to get a tiny bit of online validation.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:39, archived)
I'm not after online validation. Just figured it was the easiest way to win this week.
So sure, it's pandering and playing the I'M A GIRL card, but what's the harm?
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:45, archived)
I just think it's boring and cheap.
There's more to life than winning QOTW.

Edit: Plus, I thought QOTW was a place to share interesting anecdotes, not a place to win. If you post something and people think it's ace then, yeah, that's good, but surely it's really not about winning the internets.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:46, archived)
Fair enough
Same with most things though, if you don't like it you don't have to read it or look at it. If I commented on everything I didn't like online I'd never leave the house.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:57, archived)

Pfffft.
You posted a funny story, surely that's the end of it? Why have you been getting GAZ BASED VALIDATION that I haven't witnessed?
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:08, archived)
Actually yes
They all worship me like a God.
I'm worried JMG might see me as a threat.

Naaaaaaah.

Oh shush up you.
The draw the pubes story was better than all the other QOTW bleating that week.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 22:12, archived)
All QOTW answers are universally, irrefutably shit.

Once Upon A Time In America is on tonight, but I don't fancy staying up till 4am
I've not seen itm but it's very good (albeit four hours of very good) apparently.

Worth staying up for (or utilising one of them new fangled torrent thingies)?

I wish I could do it. I hope you're joking about the hot dogs though, because otherwise you would be the ultimate internet fatty, and I don't even know if you're fat or not.

There really is no practical use for this.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 21:25, archived)
what happens if it's raining fist acid, which is acid which melts only fists, and you have lost your other fist testing the drizzle and now you need to shelter your remaining fists or your days in the hardcore porn industry are over.
but then it's ok because you spawn a whole new series of porn films called Stumpy.

and needed somewhere to hide?
