Well actually I stapled my finger but anyway in both stories I cried.

# That's the saddest story I ever heard.

It is also the first story I've ever heard. My parents weren't into stories much, and I've somehow managed to avoid hearing any for my whole adult life. This probably isn't normal.

I wonder if there are font police. If so, do they get call-outs to baptisms? I'll give you the afternoon to research that for me.

Not, perhaps, the most useful of the Transformers

(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 11:56, archived)
# Mmmmmmmmm
I wish my eggs could do that.

*checks fridge*

Nope. Hen bastards.

Edit: I don't mean MY eggs personally, like, in my girl-parts. I don't want a cadbury's creme baby.

...or do I?!

[challenge entry] Good Ning
I did more icons for the mini challenge:

= Magnet

= Zebedee

= Pretty flower

= Have a b3ta day (not that keen on this one but I've made it now so have it)

BTW does anyone know is it possible to view the ones others have done as I can't find a way and it means I may be making ones others have already done better.

Also any requests as all mine so far are fairly self indulgent 'What I want' ones but I've got a good method and set up going now so can knock these out fairly easily (tho not everything makes a good icon I tried doing VINCENT last night and I just can't get him to look recognisable in the 15x13 px format due to his portrait aspect ratio: VINCENT = tho I guess chopping off his 'legs' is an option but width is still an issue as his eyes really dictate the scale).
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 11:46, archived)
# These are all teh lovely
I've never figured out how to see all the entries though.

I would love to have a Lemming icon - tried myself and failed miserably!
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 11:47, archived)
# Lemmings might be tricky without colour as I don't recollect them being a very shade-contrasty design
but I'll have a bash for you and see...

It's possible for the board to display colour icons, we had them for halloween. Maybe if we all shoul loud enough Rob might do something about it.
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 12:04, archived)
# I was wondering that
but TBH, have been really enjoying working within the restrictions of 8 shades grayscale, reminds me of past lives when that was all I had!
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 12:06, archived)
# He already commented on that
He said no, since they would distract from the images and lose the identity of the board

or something like that
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 12:06, archived)
# I'm kinda happy about that TBH, I lieks them as are
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 12:13, archived)
# He wants them to be noticable when used, ie for special events, so wants the usual ones to be b/w
That said, I believe they did have them in the very early days, the decision to swap over was a pretty purposeful one though from what I can tell
(, Thu 22 Nov 2007, 12:18, archived)
#
All of this seems reasonable. I like the idea of colour suddenly appearing for special occasions. For one thing, you wouldn't notice the candles so easily for b3tadays.

# Yeh true
I could do it myself but I'm at work and only have paint :(

You're most likely correct, I still find it funny that a collection of around 16 pixels may be under copyright after 22 years-ish :D

# I have no clue on that one, but from recent events, possibly best to be cautious, eh?
I'll do one anyway, assuming I find the source needed (I can't remember him well enough to do him from memory) and I guess Rob or whoever decides these things can take it from there, eh?

You get a new post ever two or three minutes and good work always shines so I'm not sure the odd repost really kills of new work (which, I love to see cos it means us old b3rstds have to up the game a little)

I suggest relaxing.

Toasty,
This is officially the ace-est thing I've ever seen from you
and it makes me kind of miserable that I am not capable of creating anything anywhere near as clever or technically brilliant.
On the other hand I am completely in awe of your talents and thankful
that I know you and count you amongst one of my pretend friends.
If they ever make a flesh and blood version of you, it would be a creation to behold. I'm blathering on here, because I'm speed typing and I
don't really know what it is that I'm saying.

Suffice it to say that I think this is woo and I have duly clicked

It may even also be a tad yay, and a smidgeon hoopla.

If you'd ramped up the Specular a bit more on the cup, I might have even added a Panowie,

but such is life.

Goodbye for now.
