I'm currently rewriting the FAQ, as the board has moved on a bit since it was last updated.
I need a few pictures to illustrate it - just to give a few laughs amongst all the talk of filesizes and html tags.
Something along the lines of Cthonic's classic:

While you are at it, if anybody has suggestions for what should be included or handy links that will help new b3tans out (free image hosts etc) then please feel free to suggest them here too.
Cheers.

Artrage in the "easy to use packages" thingy. It's free and fun for all the family. Except Uncle Tony the war veteran. It gives him 'Nam flashbacks.

that said i don't think tiffs are a viable option either, but the 'how to make animations smaller' bit is invaluable advice when you're moaning at someone about the size of their file :)

...of the most boring, least imaginative replies people waste your bandwidth with?
Such as:
'Bigger!'
'I still would.'

but it's come in handy many times on the board

I had suggested that earlier

but had no clue who to credit. Thank you!
Observation: with all the "read the FAQ" comments on the board I am surprised at the lack of (quality) entries in this mini-challenge.

something should be included about not being filthy perverts over any lady on the board over twelve years old? The "I would"s get old and some of the other stuff is very intimidating.

and whilst we're on the topic how about introducing a lech filter... if the phrase 'i would' is used in isolation it automatically gets changed to "if i learnt how to talk to women, i possibly could" ;)

The basics of HTML for messageboards.
The section on Text Effects does need a little revision (i.e. correct use of < and >) - I'll update it if anyone wants to use it.
I found it very useful when I was just learning how to post messages with pictures/links in them.
