heres the wiki,
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_pendulum
the double pendulum is chaotic for high amplitude oscillations. it's possible to compute the motion numerically using a computer. There's no analytical description so one has to simulate the path. A symplectic integrator would do nicely.

the problem in discussion was "does the temperature of a metal ball bearing affect the fall velocity through liquid nitrogen?"

They told me to stop spoiling it.

well, although it's a bit stupid that some place is selling them to kids in a hoodies
i kinda don't see a lot of problem with people having small pen knives and a 2.5in blade is a small penknife, despite the wide angle lens close up.

So when you hold both to attack someone it's a bit like the gloves on elastic ensemble. When you go to stab with one it's not quite long enough and you end up stabbing yourself in the face with the other.

i think she's sulking because i called her on her shit.
she probably thinks i fabricated some of what i said, but lacking evidence of that, she has decided that avoiding me is the only way to escape now without being forced to see herself negatively (discretion being the better part of valour and all that).
what she doesn't know is that i'm not letting her escape so easily. she may (or may not) realise that she's using an email address that revealed where she works - some people really do have a dim grasp of these things. i am still going to let her be if she apologises, but i fear she won't and has therefore doomed herself to my attention.

In a 6-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study, 23 subjects with body-mass indices more than 25 kg/m 2 were assigned to 1 of 3 groups. Group A received a mixture containing C. aurantium 975 mg (6% synephrine alkaloid), St. John's wort 900 mg (3% hypericin), and caffeine 528 mg; group B received a maltodextrin placebo; and group C was a control without placebo.

Because of the potential for additive effects, synephrine use should be avoided in patients with hypertension, tachyarrhythmia, or narrow-angle glaucoma.
Ephedrine and synephrine are banned by many sports agencies. A single dose of a commercially available synephrine product did not cause a false-positive response in an amphetamine assay.

This is what it's doing with "Lights From File" selected. Most other PS lighting setups give similar results, the artifacts or whatever they are show through.
Ok, here's what I think might be happening. I think it's possible that some lighting information is being saved in the file, and that PS isn't handling it properly. Is it actually possible to make a sphere with a flat texture mapped to it that has no lighting information saved with it? Does this make any sense?
