I haven't posted anything here in so long, it feels strange coming back. Also last night I made this quick tune in garageband, sounds like it should be used to advertise biscuits or something. Well, welcome back, I like it!
My home music making setup: I have a dwarf behind a set of various upside down pans for percussion. He beats them with chop sticks. I used to use a smurf instead, but we all know how that ended. For flutes I have a parrot in a cage. But the cage is usually open. He flies about the place and enjoys all kinds of food, but mostly nuts and bit of fried egg. His voice is a bit lower after eating eggs, but you can't tell from the recordings, so I guess that's alright.

I really like it (maybe due to the fact that it's the only audio software I know in depth really)
you have a virtual rack and can put loads of synths, samplers, effect devices and so on into it and even turn it around to do the cabling. Nearest I'll ever get to owning real hardware :) A friend who's really good at making digital music (as opposed to myself) mainly uses Ableton which seems also a good choice
