I never could get to grips with it
I couldn't see any plot development or any direction to what was actually happening - just as series of cliff-hangers to keep people switching on to see if there was any solution to all this nonsense that was happening. It just seemed like the writers were mainly composed of a team of an infinite number of chimpanzees with typewriters - they previously wrote all of Shakespear's plays.

I was looking forward to it. I had decided to just enjoy it for what it was
as I understand it's very difficult to transfer something like that to the big screen without "amending" it. Sadly, I've heard about to many unnecessary changes, that by their very nature alters the whole point of the plot.

initial reports from

The trouble with these things is
you can't please everyone. If they made an adaptation that kept the fanboys quiet it would make about $5million openign weekend and then no one else would go and see it. And fanboys will moan if their favourtie frame from the book isn't included...

true... I am fine with changes to make it fit, as to say, but making huge great changes to the plot seems a bit pointless.
also, it's far to big to fit into one film, much like LotR was, to I expect bits to be chopped.

white people living in the slums of Mumbai?
not just controversial, but somewhat confusing. Although - I have often thought that a screenplay in which white/black cultures are reversed would be quite revealing, i.e. African dictatorships such as Zimbabwe and disaster areas such as Darfur shown with white people as the victims, while the rich Black Western nations sit back and do very little about them.

he's done it in his own thread.
The problem is when someone posts about three closely spaced new threads. A reply does not push a old picture off the bottom of the board whereas a new thread does. Hence several close spaced threads are seen as attention seeking and slightly inconsiderate. During the day when the board is moving quickly people may start several threads but with many other threads between them. there is no 'rule' that says you can only start one thread per day. Fairly often, depending on which particular clique is posting at the time, people will get away with consecutive threads but with an hour or so between them.
