Get very cheap n nasty 30 day fashion lenses from here then some very high water content 30 day disposable lenses (about £30 for 30 pairs), then splice them together!
Put the prescription one in your palm, add a little lens fluid, float the fashion one on top and let it line up, press the two together with a clean finger, hey presto, 30 day fashion prescription lenses!
They're both so thin they're barely thicker than long wear lenses and you can treat them exactly the same (clean them by hand, fresh fluid, store overnight), tho I wouldn't recommend wearing them for long periods, and I'm sure any optician would happily kill me for condoning such actions, but it really works! ;)

Yup, it's a bit fast, but I wanted to put on the image the same old joke we do "live" in italy: a guy say" this is jesus crucifixed" then will spread theyr arms and perform the joke screaming
"f**ked beaver!!! at the end when it mime the falling... so it is performed fast to capture the attention, I just wanted to reproduce it for the board ;)

you're not supposed to go over 250kb for an anim.
I'd recommend reducing it's size, literally,
just resize it's dimensions to a bit smaller,
should get it under 250 easily.

General rule, if you keep the width to 280 pixels it can go on the front page and it makes for the right sort of size for the board.
If it has to be bigger its ok, but dont go nuts

gaug·ing
1. To measure precisely.
2. To determine the capacity, volume, or contents of.
3. To evaluate or judge: gauge a person's ability.
4. To adapt to a specified measurement.
5. To mix (plaster) in specific proportions.
6. To chip or rub (bricks or stones) to size.
[Middle English, from Old North French
"To gauge" basically means "to measure"
and "a gauge" is a scale of measurement - i.e: the French gauge scale that is commonly used to measure body jewellery sizes.
it DOESN'T mean "to stretch", nor does it mean "tunnes/plugs/other jewellery" i.e: you do not have gauges in your ears. you have jewellery of a certain gauge in you ears. yup.

a shame. I raise a glass to a man who knew his musical theatre. The 'have your say' board on the bbc site is currently laying into 'Hannah from London' who typed 'never heard of him'... Tut tut Hannah.

to add to a thread in memory of a recently deceased celebrity. Talk about displaying your ignorance.

what's amusing, they went, 'never heard of him!' to themselves, and then bothered to type it in order to tell the world! Perhaps we should all do this over anything on the internet we've not heard of. Axolotls - never heard of them! etc

It might have been an "I've never heard of him, therefore he can't have been THAT famous, so why are you wasting my time reporting his death?" kind of posting.
Ignorance makes some people feel very superior for some reason.

I'd like to do some art in Corel Painter sometime but I can't (or won't) afford it. So I'm testing out OpenCanvas instead. Not as much functionality but it has a nice feel to it and it's far cheaper.
Anyway, I'll share this lady with you.

Last time I tried it, it was shite - but that was about seven years ago.

Actually I didn't get the hang of it. But maybe my computer was to too slow to run it properly.
I've seen some really nice art out there which was made in Painter so I assume that it's okay. But expensive.

.. Painter Essentials is a program which has been deprived of any useful functionality, so I suppose that it would be unfair to judge Painter by that. Like MS Paint or Wordpad, it's just waste of good bytes.
