Jena.
Far away from everywhere. 1 hour from Leipzig, 2-3 hours from Berlin. It's east germany. Every other major city is a bit further away. Hopefully going to Berlin for Christmas shopping, but no idea about when, I've got my final PhD. exam on the 5th, so I can't really think past then at the moment, without my arse falling out. Edit: Also, the trains in Germany are a bit fucked at the moment. They've discovered technical problems with the tilt-technology of the trains, which means a lot of trains are no longer operable, and the ones that are, go very slowly, late, or not at all.

fuck, my first thought there was: "I don't remember that bit in Napoleon Dynamite" but, then I stopped being retarded, and remembered that they have a yearly Napoleon parade thingy, where people dress up (accurately) as French soldiers and Jenensers. I'm not really sure what they do afterwards... maybe a fight somewhere. It's a very big occasion though, and quite nice, if you like that kind of thing. Weimar is also nearby, which has a bit of Napoleon influence, the little ubiquitous bugger that he is.

time for an over think
hex only grants 16 combinations =4 bits, if you can find 64 charactes on the keyboard (letters upper and lower plus numbers gives about that) then thats 8 bits=1byte, if you can speak them 2-3 characters/second, that would give a rate of a few bytes per second, so in a year you could get through as much as 100MB in a year

I didn't realise there was a plot trying to look in. Or any comedy. Or any decent bad guys. Or any coolness. Or any chase/fight scenes that were possible to follow. I have no idea how the fight scenes ended, it just seemed that the baddies kept fucking up of their own accord. One of the shittest Bonds, in my opinion.

Thunderball was the best for me.
but only because I have memories of my dad taking me to see it in the mid 70's when it got a re-run at our local flicks. The only other film my dad took me to see was Bambi. So Thunderball may or may not have been any good but it was a rare occasion when my dad was not at sea so I recall it as good. ( It was good, I know, it had Connery in it )
(

it's a sadly underatted Bond is Thunderball
on the back of Goldfinger, it's easy to understand why. I'll even forgive Diamonds are Forever because it had Connery and Charles Gray in it, in an otherwise feeble plot

I was just expecting a lot more, I think.
I thought Casino Royale was quite good, decent twists, and entertaining. I thought Quantum of Solace would be an attempt at being even better. The action scenes appear to be shot by an ex-NYPD Blue cameraman, on a horse with Parkinson's.

It's not bad.
If you're a hummingbird. This may not make any sense. I simply meant that key parts of the scene may or may not be visible for a millisecond or so, which means that if you blink, the scene is over, and you're never quite sure how he won the fight, you just know he did.
