but have no tripod and i could balance the phone on the sink whilst something moved in front of me.

it uses photosYou can either import photos you've already taken, or what I did was use the camera in the app to take each frame. It overlays a transparent version of the previous frame to help lining up. Then you can set the frame intervals etc.

I don't know ... I reckon I heard the ghost of Jimmy Savile the other night, here in Scarborough. If you know who Jimmy Savile is, you can imagine what sound he makes and the rattle of jewelry. I went into the town library and withdrew a book on local ghosts ... turns out there are a few ghosts, witches, a vampire, a vanishing house, a headless man, ghosts of pirates and smugglers and assorted sea hags.
I was up by the castle - three thousand years of history - a couple of months ago, and was by the front stone gate, exploring at night. I've had this habit for years, exploring the tunnels beneath Shanghai in 2006, climbing unfinished skyscrapers in BeiJing in 2004 and in that same city avoided a horrific death by drawing my weight back at the last moment before I would have fallen into a terrible rat filled pit at the bottom of a pitch black lift shaft in an old colonial building.
(Here in NE England, there is a Stygian blackness to some nights. Imagine Macbeth if you can.)
There in the gloomy, ink-like darkness, a thin green mist spread over the inner gatehouse, drifting over the cold stone blocks. It was spectral, ominous and foul. I beheld this unholy apparition for about 5 minutes, before sensing that I was being watched.
'Who could be out here, up there, at this time of the night?' I wondered to myself.
The moon was not visible from within the castle grounds and the high fortifications - built, demolished, burt, ransacked, bombed, shot and splintered for the life-times of a good four-hundred men, if a man's time be measured as three score and ten years.
