yes, and it's both good and bad news
I'd rather they got one presenter, and stuck with him/her to make it their own.
And after much thought on this, Mushroom's suggestion of David Dimbleby as a new presenter has grown on me, he'd be perfect. They should consult with him immediately

as will Fry, and Brydon, three excellent talents which will bring much good into the world of ISIHAC
but they'll only get short stabs at it and not make it their own, it'll turn into
the radio equivalent of the modern 'Have I got News' with their guest presenters.
For every Brian Blessed they get, they'll also get a fair few duffers :(
Dimbleby for Clue - the campaign starts here!

Yeah, I kind of take on board what you're saying,
but I like the way RB and BC described it on Today this morning as a 'Family', or a 'traveling Rep Company', it most definitely has that feel about it*
Anyhow, overall I'm very glad it's back. Rather made my morning amongst the usual doom and gloom of the news.

Actually I'm blushing now because
I really thought that scene was the one from Alien. No Alien3 was pretty fail but the director's cut made it so much better.
But what I meant was the whole Alien Quadrilogy was my favourite set of films.

Alien simply because it wasn't as contrived as Aliens
however for sheer action packed explosions and alien killing spree Aliens wins.

just because he made Delicatessen, Amelie, City Of Lost Children and Very Long Engagement, doesn't mean that AR was well made....

Resurrection was a bizarre film
but I welcomed the fact that they had brought Sigourney Weaver back into the film but I was worried about the way they would do it - however it worked pretty well and the idea of Ripley as a hybrid cloned alien/human was really very clever. The hybrid alien at the end of the film didn't work so well for me as you just ended up feeling sorry for it as it got sucked out to space through a tiny hole.
( ,
Wed 25 Feb 2009, 10:33,

I just thought the whole thing just ended up being far too comic book, and the whole premise cheesy...
it should have just ended at A3 with Ripley's death. If they wanted to do another, just explored new characters elsewhere that somehow encounter aliens. Start from scratch as it were.
( ,
Wed 25 Feb 2009, 10:39,

Well I think A3 was a bad film and would have been better
had it never been made what would have been better is if Resurrection had been the finale where Ripley and the hybrid Mammalien crashed in the spaceship ending the saga.
