Thank you to everyone who voted for my CupBot animation, it was very lovely of you.
But I can't accept the prize of the HD-DVD player as I have nowhere to put it and can't afford
to buy more films in an entirely different format. So, I'm giving it away.
Inspired by all the complaining that compo's will only be won by those with expensive bits of software or "talent",
I have decided to redirect the HD-DVD player to whoever posts the best sob story as to why they should have won,
PLUS a still image of something nice and fluffy (to counter the horrific choice of Image Challenge this week!)
Post only in this thread please, I will pick a winner at 6pm UK time.

Probably.
Tell you what I just won an HD-DVD of a "very good" film. Keep the machine and you can have my DVD. But please post a grovelling reason why you should get it!

vertical rollers got that grime build up!
Further more, I've only got a VGA graphics card that supports 256 colours and due to my complex colour blindness 243 of these colours are indistinguishable to me.
If I were to win I'd use the HD laser to burn off the grime and correct my colour blindness.

* Manditory fluff as per competition requirement
EDIT:
Just to point out I too don't need a HD player cus I don't have a HD tv and don't buy or rent DVDs though I do think that it's a very nice thing to do and that you're verr verr talented.

Anyway, congrats on the CupBot success, however I suspect that you just video robot cups and claim them as your own creations; hence the fact that you're conscience forces you to give up the HD-DVD player.

I took this about two hours ago at lunch. It's a baby cotton-top marmoset. Not had time to run it through photoshop or anything, and I doubt I will do before I get back from work, but you wanted some fluff!

My post was one of the most original I saw in the compo. b3ta.com/board/7815584
Although it was quite simple I spent alot of time slaving away on all 3 versions with no regard for my partener and kids ..... violins, heartstrings, violins, heartstrings ..... my eyes have swelled up as a result of staying up far too late and staring at the eye fucking pictures I was creating.
After all that I posted my entry at about 3am, which is hardly an ideal time to be posting.

Sheep wins the macbook, Happy Toast the HD player and HD DVDS of er... a very good film that you all absolutely love for the next 5 people.
Thanks to everyone who took part - personally I really loved Cyriaks entry and a special yay to C_kick who so nearly came in the top two, but was pipped in the last few hours.

I enjoyed not winning almost as much as I would have enjoyed winning a Macbook thing. Well done Mr Sheep and Mr Toast and everyone else.
