Fantastic. Truely brilliant TV
It was a Castagays spoof written buy the guys that did Shameless. Same premis but all the people were diabled. There was a flidamite, a paraplegic, a girl with cherubism, a midget. Very well written and produced plus they managed to find actors with those conditions and those they didn't they trained them up.

so many bits that made we just go wow. The Caterpillar is incredible, beautiful smoke effects Every movement the cat makes The doormouse, the march hair, really incredible animation work Depp is wonderfully under used, he's in no way the main role Bonham Carter is almost as good as Miranda Richardson in Blackadder so much so good but do expect a few bits of emotionless greenscreening, story progression and acting trouble

I will throw my vote away - I will only vote when there is something worth voting for and something you can believe and trust in.
Really we aren't going to change things until someone with enough authority decides to change things - such as the Union Leaders standing up and saying we won;t support New Labour any longer and set up a new party for the Working Class.

And therefore you can't complain when you don't like it.
The problem is that here in the West we're so warm, fat and comfortable that we don't really want to change anything that drastically. Of course we all enjoy a good moan, but that's all it is.
Maybe I'm just going to vote so that I can complain without feeling like a hippo.

try this...
sit at roughly arm's length from the monitor and put your finger on the screen, between the left and right images.
looking at your finger and slowly, bring your finger closer to your eyes until, at roughly 6" or so from your nose, the left and right images on the screen should overlap (remember that both eyes are still looking at your finger).
Keeping your finger where it is, then try to focus on the images rather than your finger (doesn't matter how long it takes you to do this).
Once you've done it a few times, you don't need to use your finger any more.
It is a skill worth picking up.

Indeed what has happened to the genuinely funny people?
There is no new talent just people who act and we are told these are funny guys and we must find them funny else we are not funny and are void of a sense of humour.

Because children are stupid, uppity and precocious
As such, they generally won't go to see "old" films, so if they "remake" them, they're more attractive, they can make more money out of the same francise, and generally buying the rights is cheaper than employing scripwriters and all that bollocks to come up with something original and/or interesting.

I watched Hitchcock's The Birds for the first time the other day.
Partly because Mrs V and I bought a box set of 14 HCs in the sales, and partly because I heard on here that they're remaking it.

that is a scary film
it gets in your head, much better than modern nonsense like Saw that rely on shocks and gore. Bet they ruin the remake by changing the birds into Nazguls or something.

When she got home a pigeon had got down the chimney and was sat waiting for them, all sooty and panicky...
