On the way there, I got detained by the cops on the 2 hour stop-off in Los Angeles.
...I was pulled out for anti-terrorism random interrogation. I wasn't told why I was being taken away... nor were Mrs ZW and our four small sons... "You MAY be able to get back on your flight" the bastard cops said. I made the flight with 5 mins to spare, after being interrogated needlessly... didn't help that I didn't know where I was staying in NZ; didn't know how many passports I have had, and they didn't like my answer to "why are you here in America?" - "because the plane was going to run out of fuel".

also, don't ask anyone in Greggs for 'a cream bun' - cos they'll give you two and then complain if you only want one, not that it was an extra free cream bun, it was a different one that I didn't want, and the guy said "But you asked for two!" and I said "No I didn't" and then he got the arse cos he'd put them in a box by then, and I couldn't see what he was doing cos he was behind the counter so I didn't notice he'd put them in a box, then he started tutting as he took the cream bun I didn't want out of the box.
