pngs are a bit rubbish in ie though aren't they?and a lot of packages out there are pretty poor at making them without vastly inflating the size...
that said i don't think tiffs are a viable option either, but the 'how to make animations smaller' bit is invaluable advice when you're moaning at someone about the size of their file :)

Obviously MSN groups should be includedas a lot of people happily use it. A reminder to remove the bit from the end of the URL that allows it to be cached will help keep the board snappier for everyone.

i second that...and whilst we're on the topic how about introducing a lech filter... if the phrase 'i would' is used in isolation it automatically gets changed to "if i learnt how to talk to women, i possibly could" ;)
