I mean, one photo is enough, surely.
We've had about half the family album now, including from 2 years ago.
How is that helping with the search - "Here is what she looked like in 2005"
Bah!

but of course they are totally blameless in all this, because it's fine to leave pre-schoolers for a couple of hours while you go and get pissed in a restaurant

Agreed in some ways, but that can't take away
from the fact that she was snatched from a
locked hotel room. Had she had an accident and
died due to parental absence from the room, then
I'd be more than willing to apportion blame. I
don't think it's fair to expect people to foresee
something like this happening though... Just my thoughts.

Child wakes up in hotel room
Child realises parents are missing
Child goes out to find parents
Child goes to beach, not 200 yards away
Child goes into water
Child drowns and is washed out to sea

just sell a made up story to the gutter press about how you knew the parents and how evil (or wonderful, depending on the angle you decide to take) the parents are.
Pretend they treated you in hospitol and you overheard them talking about how much they hate (or love) their kids.

that all of you that are joking about this are not parents. It certainly changes your perspective on stories like this.
On another note, I was reading a book the other day and the author pointed out an oddity in human behaviour. When we hear of less than 10 people dying, we feel sad about it but as soon as the number goes above 10, it actually becomes less sad (unless you know someone involved of course). Maybe it is because it feels less real, and they stop being individuals.

to cklear up my old room, sicne they are trying to sell the house and need it looking neat-ish.
Brought a big box* of old warhammer stuff plus sundry paints, saws, clippers, flock, glue, sandpaper, files, putty etc.
I now have a powerful urge to get back into the paintin' and modellin' side of it. I always found it quite theraputic and was quite good at it**.
Maybe I'll buy a copy of blood bowl.
