Agree
I'm Danish and as you might know, we currently try to ban anything browner than the average Scandinavian in Denmark.
My stepfather is British though, and through him I have come to know (and semi-love) Marmite.
Current news in Denmark are that it is not officially banned, but rather needs permission to be imported (as it is enriched with vitamins - Danes do not like too many vitamins).

"It may be because Art, the main character, is obviously a self-insert of the author. This is an opinion, not a definitive statement, by the way, and it may turn out to be baseless. After all, Sequential Art does include a character by the name of “Phillip H. Jackson.” Sequential Phil, however, is a tiny hamster who rides around in a woman’s bosom. (How does this work out, anyway, when every other species is depicted to be human size?) Art, on the other hand, is a harried graphics designer who crashes on the couch and plays video games at home. I suspect Real World Phil might have more experience with the latter … though more power to him if he turns out to be the former."

I actually like that guy's reviews
I wasted an hour or so at work reading through them, mainly because I'm a massive nerd.
To be fair to JJ, I seem to remember him once commenting that if he were turned on by the furry stuff he draws he'd never be able to get anything done, or words to that effect.
Spewing for a couple of thousand words is what a blogger does.
Some wierd pet peeve on how brand names are used? Someone unable to even see the charm in details like that doesn't deserve to have an opinion on webcomics at all. Garbage.

With the proviso that the more offensive an image, the harder it'll be to make it funny.
My gut feeling is that Down's jokes (and Auschwitz jokes) are likely to be almost impossible to make sufficiently funny.

I happen not to find Down's jokes all that amusing. I'd rather they weren't made, to be honest. But there've been things posted before that are significantly more off-colour that are ignored at worst, and sometimes attract W/Y/H responses.

Toast, with lots of butter and marmite. The icey cold extra mature cheddar put on in thick slices, with beans and sausages (and a knob of butter) that have been boiling for about 20 mins (so they're nice and thick) poured straight on top. This congeals into a mature sharp and creamy bit of food.
Mix with a large cup of tea and a packet of beef monster munch
I have just eaten a Muller Light Toffee yoghurt (which is on offer in Iceland at the moment - 5 for £2 - not sure it's worth it after flights are paid for though)
I shall probably wander down the road and see if some food outlet here will sell me something that hasn't been scraped off the carriageway that morning.
my top Muller tip is to buy a large pot of plain yoghurt and a tin of fruit in syrup (black cherries are the best) - that way you can make endless fruit corners for a fraction of the price

Back then animals were prized as they meant that taxes were paid and families didn't starve! They wouldn't raid a pig on concrete or forklift pallets! If find it laughable that what is considered posh quality food these days is in reality food that is raised in a vaguely humain way. People laugh at what is eaten in Eastern cultures and just eat the same thing, of poorer quality, just diguised. THere's parts they eat that no self respecting Eastener would touch with a 10 foot junk pole!
