There's a Jessie icon set up. This money goes to Cal for server bills - as this is how the system is set up - I can't subvert it as the cash doesn't go via me. However if someone trustworthy wants to get in touch and collect money for either a charitable donation or flowers I can stick this on the front page with a message etc.cr3 edit: donations here get the new icon and the funds will go to Mrs. Trellis who will organise a memorial fund: >> www.b3ta.com/donate/jessie/ <<

I think people will understand what it's about, without knowing who Jessie was.
I think it's a good idea. There is obviously a very strong feeling here, from those that knew her. The problem is that like real life, after such an awful thing, life has to get back to normal. Having a place for people to say their bit does absolutely no harm, and it allows the board to get back to normal without anyone feeling bad about it. As for tackiness / B3taness . . well, I'm sure some of her close friends can go through the collection of pictures, and collect the nice ones onto a CD. Then at some time in the future, give it to whoever will appreciate it.

That's excellent,
I've been trying to find pics of the first Derby bash that was down the Bless (I think 2006). Anyone got any links? Thanks

Have you checked the flickr pool?
Also, Rotating Wobbly Hat posted an album of all the pics he has of Jessie. Let me just run and find it for you. EDIT: Here you go: www.flickr.com/photos/xsgerry/sets/72157624081263206/ I should imagine he was probably at the first b3ta bash too.

she was undoubtedly one of the lovliest, fluffiest, shiniest persons on the face of this planet. Yesterday fair whacked the stuffing out of me, and I feel bad that I missed something of a big teary board hug last night, but I just couldn't face it. I've seen all the lovely pics people have done since yesterday and everyone is making me well up, but I can't bring myself to do one. But everyone of them is fantastic.

Still in a bit of a shock
I had a look through my hard drives last night, but the last time I saw Jessie was when she and the Prof drove down to be part of our zombie horde, so the pics aren't really appropriate. Nonetheless, she was an absolute trooper that day and I hope she had a lot of fun. She was always made me laugh and smile and I shall miss her greatly.

I had to spazz back to find out what happened. I met Jessie many, many time and although we didn't talk that often considered her a friend. This is indeed terrible, tragic news and my heart goes out to Kenny and her family. What a terrible day for b3ta and for everyone close to her.
